We mainly integrate existing devices in our solutions, but we also design full custom hardware for your specific needs. For advanced smart devices that require it, we develop custom open source firmware. Sensors and actuators we deliver are ready-to-use in your environment.
Intermediate infrastructure
Sensors and actuators could work together without any tier. But we can make a far smarter system by adding an "intermediate glue" to make users able to monitor and to control them. We make this glue from hardware we integrate and open source software we develop in-house.
User interaction
Final users interact with the system thought interaction devices such as smartphone, tablets, or regular laptop or desktop computers. At Immotronic, we also develop iPhone/iPad, Android and regular computer applications software to provide useful, usable and beautiful interfaces to your final users.

Cloud services
Cloud services are a way to provide high value added services to our customers, from automatic backup services and automatic updates to an "everywhere, anytime" access to your smart environments, through SMS notification or connection with social networks. Cloud services are hosted in a distant high-performance secured datacenter.
Sensors & actuators
Whenever possible, we implement autonomous low-power sensors like enocean products that harvest themself energy they need from solar, thermal or motion sources. Most of sensors and actuators we implement are wireless devices or use PLC to communicate.
In-situ microserver
To enhance the sensor and actuator networks, a microserver is added and operate as an application server and a bridge between sensor and actuator networks and regular Ethernet or WiFi networks. We implement fanless low power mini-computer to support this task.
Interaction devices
Interaction devices and user interfaces are key components in our solutions. Their suitability for final users make the whole system useful and usable, and final users happy. To reach this goal, we apply user-centered design methods and we continuously remain aware of novel interaction techniques.

Hardware
We mainly are hardware integrators, but we also have skills to design and partners to realize custom sensors or actuators to fit your very specific needs.

For instance, our showroom operates with in-house designed PLC actuators, enocean sensors, X10 actuators and a fanless low-power linux-based microserver.
Software
We master the whole software stack from firmware embedded in sensors to rich user interfaces running on state of the art devices, through functional core software running on in-situ microservers and distant secured software services hosted in the cloud.
At sensor level, depending the hardware capabilities, we use Contiki OS or develop fully custom C code when Contiki is not available.
Our in-situ microserver solution is linux-based and embeds software implemented upon reliable and flexible open source framework such as OSGi and iPOJO.
These software are mainly made of well-known open source components, in-house developed open source components and fully custom components developed for your very specific needs.
To enhance in-situ microserver functions, we operate a private cloud infrastructure hosted in a secured datacenter. Like our in-situ microserver solution, our cloud infrastructre runs well-known reliable open source software and in-house developed open source components. Our cloud infrastructure could also host specific custom components for your very specific needs.
The user can use and control the whole system from interaction devices. At immotronic, the final user matters. We apply User-centered design methods to realize useful, usable and beautiful user interfaces. We develop native user interfaces for iOS (iPhone/iPad) and android phone/tablets. We develop rich internet applications for all HTML 5 capable platforms.
